The exercise, described as peaceful and orderly, was conducted simultaneously across all wards in the state, with party officials, observers and security personnel monitoring proceedings.

ZERO VOTE OPPOSITION OUTCOME STIRS POLITICAL REACTIONS

The result saw Adeola dominate the contest in what party stakeholders described as a near unanimous endorsement, reinforcing his status as the consensus choice within the party structure.

ADEOLA PROMISES INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT AGENDA

An elated Senator Adeola expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his mentorship and political support over the years, noting his role in shaping his political journey from the Lagos State House of Assembly to the National Assembly.

He also thanked former Governor Olusegun Osoba and the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, for their roles in his emergence as the party’s flagbearer.

Adeola pledged to consolidate on the achievements of the current administration, promising to deepen infrastructure development, economic growth and inclusive governance across the state.

“Our goal is to build on the remarkable achievements of Governor Abiodun and move Ogun State to a higher level of inclusive growth, infrastructure development and economic prosperity,” he said.

Governor Abiodun, in his remarks, commended the peaceful conduct of the primary, describing it as a reflection of political maturity within the party.

He noted that consensus-building within the APC demonstrated unity and discipline, adding that the process reflected strong party cohesion.

He also acknowledged the role of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in strengthening political stability within the party structure.

The declaration ceremony was witnessed by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, party leaders, including the Ogun State APC Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, members of the APC National Working Committee, stakeholders, and supporters.
