Controversial cross-dresser, Idris Okunneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has clarified that his earlier claim of being arrested by immigration officials was an April Fool’s prank.
Earlier on Tuesday, Bobrisky sent social media into a frenzy after announcing on Instagram that he had been taken into custody by Nigerian immigration officers.
His post had sparked widespread speculation, with many questioning the circumstances surrounding the alleged arrest.
However, in a later update, Bobrisky retracted the claim, stating, “Calm down, my lovers. It was just a joke. Happy April Fool’s Day!”
His prank comes months after he announced his relocation from Nigeria, citing personal reasons. The decision followed his six-month imprisonment last year for defacing the naira, after which he maintained a low profile.
