Popular Nigerian comedian and social media sensation, Sanku, has died following a tragic road accident along Ogbomoso Road in Oyo State.
The crash, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, September 1, 2025, reportedly left several passengers injured.
Sanku and another victim were said to be critically wounded, but the comedian later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Fellow skit maker Ozain Comedy confirmed the news on his Instagram story, posting, “Rest well, soldier,” while influencer Jidex shared a tribute on TikTok, writing, “Rest in peace.”
Sanku began his comedy career in 2021 and rose to prominence in 2024. His originality and unique style quickly earned him a loyal online following, surpassing one million followers on TikTok.
