Abeokuta, Ogun State, is set to host the 2026 Gateway International Trade Fair, a major commercial event scheduled to hold from 6th to 16th February at the MKO Abiola Trade Fair Complex, Oke Mosan.

The fair is expected to attract businesses, investors, manufacturers, traders, and entrepreneurs from across Nigeria and beyond, positioning Abeokuta as a key centre for trade and investment.

The Gateway International Trade Fair has become a respected platform for business promotion and economic engagement. Its consistent track record of bringing together diverse commercial stakeholders has made it an important event for those seeking to expand their market reach and establish strategic partnerships.

For many businesses, the fair offers an opportunity to showcase products, services, and innovations to a wide audience. Exhibitors can interact directly with buyers, partners, and investors, creating an environment where commercial conversations can lead to lasting collaborations and real business growth.

Small and medium scale enterprises, in particular, stand to benefit from the visibility and market access the event provides. The fair creates space for emerging businesses to compete on a larger scale and attract attention from buyers and investors who may otherwise be difficult to reach.

The choice of Abeokuta as the host city highlights Ogun State’s growing importance as a commercial hub. The state’s strategic location, industrial growth, and strong connectivity to Lagos and other major markets make it a natural destination for trade and business activities.

The MKO Abiola Trade Fair Complex, Oke Mosan, is a fitting venue for the event, offering the necessary infrastructure to support large-scale exhibitions and business engagements. The complex provides a central and accessible space for exhibitors and visitors, ensuring a smooth and effective fair experience.

Beyond product displays, the trade fair will also facilitate networking and knowledge exchange. Participants will have the chance to engage in discussions, share business insights, and explore emerging market trends that are shaping the future of commerce in Nigeria.

The fair also presents opportunities for collaboration between the public and private sectors. Policymakers, business leaders, and industry experts will have the platform to engage on issues affecting trade, investment, and economic development, helping to drive policies that support business growth.

As the event approaches, businesses and organisations are encouraged to register early to secure prime exhibition spaces and plan effectively for participation. Early registration ensures maximum exposure and better preparation for the wide range of opportunities the fair offers.

From 6th to 16th February, 2026, Abeokuta will become the centre of trade, investment, and enterprise development. The Gateway International Trade Fair 2026 promises to be a significant event for businesses looking to expand, connect, and grow in a competitive market.
