The endorsement was contained in a communiqué signed by the Ogun State Coordinator of the forum, Hon. Abiodun Abudu Balogun, and issued after the Ogun State caucus meeting of the NFFL held on Friday, January 24, 2026, at the NAF Conference Centre, Kado, Abuja, Federal Capital Territory.

In the communiqué, the forum said it had “closely monitored the dexterity that His Excellency, the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has brought to bear on the multi faceted national challenges confronting our nation,” adding that his performance deserved “our commendation and re affirmation of confidence in his capabilities.”

The former legislators further stated that Tinubu’s administration has recorded “great economic strides and concrete results,” while also adopting “results yielding tactics in tackling insecurity,” which, according to them, informed their decision to back his re election in 2027.”

“The Ogun Caucus of the Forum declares its unalloyed support for the re election of Mr President in 2027,” the communiqué read.

Turning to Ogun State politics, the forum also expressed strong support for Senator Adeola, who represents Ogun West Senatorial District and serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations.

The group said it had undertaken “consistent study and persistent follow up on the numerous socio political benefits brought to our people in all sections of the Gateway State” by the senator.

According to the communiqué, Senator Adeola’s “rich political antecedents, vast legislative experience and worthy trajectory of top welfarism” position him as a credible choice for the governorship of the state. On this basis, the forum declared its “absolute support for and commitment to the governorship aspiration of the current Ogun West Senator.”

The NFFL Ogun caucus also called on the senator to publicly declare his ambition, saying this would enable the group and other supporters to begin “a massive mobilisation drive” ahead of the 2027 election.

In addition, the forum paid tribute to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, and a former governor of the state, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, describing them as leaders who have shown “relentless efforts at steering the political course and progressive ideals of Ogun State.”
