President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended the Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria, describing it as a critical pillar of Nigeria’s national fabric with a noble heritage built on faith, knowledge, and service.

Speaking through the Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, at the 11th Triennial National Conference of the Society held at the Legacy Hall of the Abeokuta Sports Club, Tinubu praised the enduring impact of the Society across generations.

“The Ansar-ud-deen Society has played an invaluable role in nurturing God-fearing, intellectually sound, and socially responsible individuals,” the President stated. “Its contributions to Islamic education and community development are visible in its efforts to establish schools, health centers, and support systems that cater to the spiritual and social needs of its members.”

He emphasized that since assuming office, his administration has remained focused on building a more inclusive, secure, and prosperous Nigeria through the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“My government is committed to reviving the economy, uplifting the poor, and restoring public trust in our institutions. These goals, however, cannot be achieved in isolation. We need credible, value-driven organizations like the Ansar-ud-deen Society to stand with us,” Tinubu noted.

He called on the Society to remain resolute in its mission, adding, “You must continue to serve as a force for unity, progress, and enlightenment in our society.”

Delivering the keynote address, Prof. Mustapha Olalekan Arikewuyo highlighted the responsibility of Muslims in promoting peace, mutual respect, and coexistence in a pluralistic society.

“We must all respect the rights and dignity of others, regardless of background or belief,” he said. “Beyond religious practices, Muslims must also engage civically and socially. Sharing our cultural values while appreciating the diversity around us strengthens national unity.”

In his remarks, the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, urged members of the Society to embody the values of tolerance, unity, and peaceful coexistence.

“Ansar-ud-deen members must be good ambassadors. Show love, embrace peace, and be unique in your interactions with people,” he charged.

Earlier, the President of the Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria, Aare (Dr) Abdul-Rafiu Ademola Sanni, noted that the triennial conference serves as an opportunity to reflect on the Society’s achievements, assess current challenges, and chart a progressive path forward.

“Our goal is to remain committed to educational advancement, moral empowerment, social justice, and economic development,” he affirmed.

Special prayers were offered for the Society, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ogun State, and Nigeria as a whole.
