As Muslims prepare for the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has extended a generous hand of support to Muslim faithful in Ogun West and beyond by distributing thousands of food items, livestock, and cash grants, alongside sponsoring 190 Muslims on the holy pilgrimage to Mecca.

In what has become a consistent tradition of compassion and religious solidarity, Senator Adeola, who represents Ogun West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, facilitated the distribution of 9,000 bags of 50kg rice, 40 cows, 250 rams, and substantial cash grants to various individuals and groups.

Beneficiaries include traditional rulers, Islamic clerics, Muslim organizations, community leaders, political stakeholders, and members of the public across the five local government areas of Ogun West.

The items were part of his annual intervention to support the faithful during major religious celebrations and to promote a sense of communal unity and festivity.

The senator also went a step further by sponsoring 190 Muslim faithful to the Holy Pilgrimage in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, as part of efforts to help believers fulfill one of the cardinal pillars of Islam.

Speaking through his Media Adviser, Chief Kayode Odunaro, Senator Adeola explained that the gesture aligns with his personal values and the broader Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, aimed at improving food access and religious harmony.

“I wish all Muslims a joyful celebration of Eid-el-Kabir. This is in line with my tradition of ensuring that as many as possible enjoy the celebration of religious festivals as a way of strengthening their faith and ensuring adherence to religious principles,” Senator Adeola said.

“In addition, this gesture is part of the Renewed Hope Agenda of our President in ensuring food security among the populace over time,” he added.
