Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 32 individuals suspected to be involved in internet fraud in Bauchi State.

The anti-graft agency confirmed the arrests in a statement shared via its official Facebook page on Monday, noting that the operation followed credible intelligence received by its Gombe Zonal Directorate.

According to the statement, the suspects were apprehended in Sabon Kaura and Gwalameji areas of the state capital on Friday, July 25, 2025.

“The arrests were made following actionable intelligence which linked the suspects to a syndicate engaging in various forms of internet-related fraud,” the EFCC said.

Items recovered during the raid include nine Samsung mobile phones, 15 iPhones, one Infinix phone, three Redmi phones, two iPads, a Peugeot 406 car, two PlayStation 4 consoles, one PlayStation 5, four Neonx Auto motorcycles, eight laptop computers, one Maxi E50KWH generator and a pistol.

Photos released by the commission showed the suspects alongside the recovered exhibits, including the firearm and the vehicle.

The EFCC assured the public that it would not relent in its fight against cybercrime and related offenses.

“All suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations,” the statement added.
