In a swift move following his inauguration as the 7th democratically elected Governor of Ondo State, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has appointed Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, son of the national leader of the Pan-Yoruba socio-political group, as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
Governor Aiyedatiwa announced the appointment just hours after taking the oath of office.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, in Akure, the state capital, it was confirmed that Dr. Fasoranti previously served as Chairman of the Ondo State Hospitals Management Board. He hails from Akure South Local Government Area.
The governor also approved the reappointment of Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, and Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac as Commissioner for Finance.
Others reappointed as Special Advisers include Engr. Johnson Alabi for Power, Dr. Seun Osamaye for Women Affairs, Comrade Bola Taiwo for Union Matters and Special Duties, and Prof. Simidele Odimayo for Health.
Furthermore, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing, Engr. Abiola Olawoye, has been elevated to the position of Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing.
According to the statement, all appointments take immediate effect.
Governor Aiyedatiwa urged the new appointees to hit the ground running and ensure the delivery of effective and efficient services to the people of Ondo State.
