Power supply across most parts of Ogun State will be disrupted for 25 days as the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) commences scheduled maintenance on one of its major transmission lines.
In a public announcement on Monday, the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) disclosed that the maintenance exercise will affect the Omotosho–Ikeja West 330kV transmission line, with work expected to run from Monday, July 28 to Thursday, August 21, 2025, between 8:00am and 5:00pm daily.
The company stated that customers across Ogun State, except those in Ijebu Ode, Sagamu Town, and Ogunmakin, will experience outages throughout the maintenance period.
“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience,” the notice read, urging affected customers to contact its service line or visit the nearest IBEDC office for further details.
While the maintenance work is expected to improve grid stability in the long run, residents and businesses in the affected areas may face serious disruptions to daily activities.
