Over the past two years, he works closely with the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba Prof. Saka Adelola Matemilola, and fellow chiefs, strengthening the institution of traditional leadership while promoting values of service, integrity, and compassion.

Reflecting on the anniversary, Chief Lasile describes the journey as both fulfilling and humbling.

“I am humbled by the opportunity to serve humanity. With a heart of selflessness and a creative mind, I remain committed to uplifting our people both at home and abroad,” he says.

The Baalufe of Owu Kingdom emphasizes that his leadership philosophy is rooted in inspiration and responsibility.

According to him, leadership must go beyond titles to impact lives. “Leadership is a daily test of service, commitment, and authority. Through compassionate leadership, I inspire others to join me in community work, fostering a culture of kindness and generosity,” he explains.

Chief Lasile points out that the role of the Orunto requires selfless service to both the monarch and the people.

He stresses that every position of influence carries a duty of accountability. “I will continue to uphold transparency and integrity, refusing to exploit my position for personal gains.”

“My objective contributions at meetings and forums will remain dedicated to achieving meaningful resolutions for the good of our people,” he affirms.

Beyond his duties in the palace, Chief Lasile is also known for his passion for community development. He initiates programmes that touch lives, creates platforms for youth engagement, and supports initiatives that preserve culture while encouraging modern growth.

He believes traditional leadership should not only preserve heritage but also provide solutions to the pressing challenges of society.

Looking back on the past two years, Chief Lasile says his experiences have been enriching. “The last two years have been monumental, graceful, and to the glory of God. It has been a journey of learning, service, and dedication to the wellbeing of our people,” he reflects.

As he marks this milestone, the Orunto of Owu Kingdom restates his determination to remain a pillar of truth, fairness, and development within the kingdom.
