The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has ordered the immediate deployment of the Force Intelligence Department (FID) – Intelligence Response Team (IRT) to intensify efforts in rescuing Prince Eniola Ojajuni, the Afenifere Youth Leader, who was abducted on February 17, 2025, while en route to Abuja.
A statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s (NPF) unwavering commitment to securing Ojajuni’s release, emphasizing that all available resources and intelligence capabilities have been mobilized to ensure his safe return.
“The police remain resolute in their mission to bring Prince Ojajuni back home safely. Our officers are working around the clock, and we urge the public to support our efforts by providing any useful information,” Adejobi stated.
He also warned against speculation or misinformation on social media, cautioning that unverified reports could jeopardize the ongoing rescue operation and put the victim’s life at further risk.
“We appeal to Nigerians to refrain from spreading false narratives that could complicate our work. Security operations require discretion, and any misleading information could have serious consequences,” he added.
