President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to the Governor of Ogun State and Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on the occasion of his 65th birthday and sixth anniversary in office, both marked on May 29.
In a tribute issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described Governor Abiodun’s leadership in the Gateway State as exemplary and transformational, noting significant achievements across various sectors including infrastructure, education, agriculture, youth empowerment, and social development.
“Your six-year tenure is a model of progress, defined by remarkable strides in infrastructure, education, youth empowerment, agriculture, food security, and social development,” the President stated.
He noted that Ogun State, under Abiodun’s watch, has evolved into a hub of innovation and economic growth, thanks to transparent and inclusive governance practices.
“Ogun State has emerged as a beacon of stability and innovation, a leading destination for investment, and a state with steadily growing internal revenue,” President Tinubu remarked.
Commending Abiodun’s role beyond his state, Tinubu also acknowledged the governor’s leadership as Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, describing him as a unifying figure who promotes regional cooperation and national development.
“Your unwavering commitment to public service and the advancement of our great nation remains a pillar of strength in our collective pursuit of national renewal and prosperity,” the President added.
As the governor celebrates both personal and political milestones, Tinubu expressed his best wishes for the years ahead. “As you mark this dual milestone, I join your family, associates, and the good people of Ogun State in honouring your achievements and legacy of service. May the years ahead bring continued health, joy, and enduring peace,” he concluded.
