With Eid-ul-Kabir festivities around the corner, the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, popularly known as So-Safe Corps, has deployed no fewer than 1,000 personnel across all 20 local government areas of the state to intensify surveillance and enhance public safety.

The deployment was announced in a statement signed by the Corps’ Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, on behalf of the State Commander, (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo.

The Corps said the move was part of its strategy to maintain peace and order before, during, and after the Muslim celebration slated for Friday 6th – Monday 9th, June 2025.

“Commanders have been instructed to work closely with Imams, traditional rulers, and Community Development Association (CDA) leaders to sensitize residents on the dangers of crime,” Commander Ganzallo stated.

“They are also to patrol and arrest anyone suspected of attempting to disrupt public peace,” he added.

The security agency revealed that several black spots across the state had already been placed under tight surveillance, particularly areas with a history of disturbances during major holidays.

Ganzallo warned those with criminal intentions to reconsider, declaring that Ogun State would not accommodate individuals bent on disrupting the harmony of the festive season.

“The state will not be a haven for criminal elements. Anyone planning to breach the peace should rethink their actions, as the law will take its full course without fear or favour,” he warned.

He also stressed the importance of public involvement in the security structure, urging residents to support law enforcement efforts by sharing useful intelligence.

“We urge all residents to support the Corps with credible information. This will greatly enhance our ability to respond swiftly to any potential threats,” Ganzallo said.

As Muslims prepare for the Eid celebration, the Commander congratulated the faithful and reassured citizens of the Corps’ readiness to ensure a peaceful holiday.

“We urge everyone to celebrate joyfully. The safety of lives and property is assured, and we pray that the blessings of this holy season reflect in the lives of all,” he concluded.
