The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the death of a 45-year-old electrician who was electrocuted while attempting to reconnect electricity cables to a power pole in the Shasha area of the state.
The command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, noting that the incident happened on August 10 at about 11:30 a.m.
“The electrician lost his life while reconnecting electricity cables to an electric pole at Shasha,” Hundeyin said.
He explained that after the case was reported, a team of detectives visited the scene. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital but was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
According to Hundeyin, investigation into the incident is ongoing.
