Age is no barrier to learning, and 94-year-old Adedapo Idowu has proven this by registering for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

In a remarkable demonstration of perseverance and lifelong ambition, Idowu is seeking admission to study Political Science at the University of Ibadan.

Idowu completed his registration at the JAMB Professional Test Center in Ibadan, Oyo State, where he expressed satisfaction with the seamless process.

He praised the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for leveraging technology to simplify data collection and make the process efficient.

“I am excited to have completed my UTME registration without any difficulty. The use of technology has made it easy and stress-free. I commend JAMB for making the process smooth for candidates,” he said.

With over 700,000 candidates already registered for the 2025 UTME, Idowu’s story stands out as a beacon of determination, proving that age should never be a limitation in the pursuit of knowledge.

His decision to sit for the examination represents the importance of lifelong learning and inspires individuals of all generations to chase their academic dreams.
