The Ogun State Police Command has formally elevated 541 officers to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in a ceremony presided over by the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, PhD.
The decoration exercise took place simultaneously at the Command Headquarters, Area Commands, Divisions, and other formations across the state.
According to a statement released by DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, Police Public Relations Officer, the promotion recognizes the officers’ outstanding performance, discipline, and dedication to duty.
The elevation also aims to strengthen the Command’s leadership structure and enhance operational efficiency across Ogun State.
CP Lanre Ogunlowo commended the families of the promoted officers for their support and sacrifices.
He urged the newly promoted ASPs to maintain high standards of professionalism, discipline, and accountability, emphasizing the need to intensify intelligence-led policing to ensure the safety and security of residents.
