Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi, a Partner at Law Corridor, has stepped aside from the firm following his growing involvement in political activities and his aspiration for public service.
The development was disclosed in an official statement issued by the firm and signed by its Deputy Managing Partner, Dr. Ganiyu Ajibola Bello, on behalf of Law Corridor.
The statement read, “The Partners and Management of Law Corridor wish to announce that Mr. Pelumi Olajengbesi, a Partner of the Firm, has stepped aside from the Firm in view of his political activities and his aspirations for public service.”
It added that the decision was guided by the internal governance framework of the organisation. “This decision is in accordance with the Articles of Governance of Law Corridor, which uphold the Firm’s long standing policy of political neutrality,” the statement said.
The firm, however, assured its clients and stakeholders that its services would not be affected by the development.
“Law Corridor remains firmly committed to delivering sector focused legal services through its team of partners and lawyers across its various practice groups,” the statement added.
The partners of the firm also acknowledged the contributions of Olajengbesi to the organisation, stating that they appreciate his role in the firm’s growth.
“The Partners of the Firm express their appreciation to Mr. Olajengbesi for his contributions to the growth and development of Law Corridor and wish him the very best in his public service aspirations.”
