The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, popularly known as So-Safe Corps, has arrested two suspects and recovered a stolen motorcycle in Mokoloki, Ogun State.
The State Commander of the Corps, Dr. Soji Ganzallo, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander Adegunwa Adegbuyi.
The suspects, identified as 35-year-old Dauda Ayinde and 43-year-old Rasheed Abdul, both residents of Bisodun, Mokoloki, were arrested following an investigation into the alleged theft of a motorcycle from Eleworo Village, Ofada-Mowe.
According to the statement, the incident began on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at about 8:00 p.m., when members of the Motorcycle Riders Association arrived in Mokoloki, where the So-Safe Corps Area Command is located, reportedly causing a disturbance.
The Area Commander, ACC Amidu Odetayo, subsequently directed the intelligence team to investigate the development and establish what had transpired.
Preliminary findings revealed that a blue TVS motorcycle had allegedly been stolen from Eleworo Village on September 14 and was later sighted in Mokoloki.
The investigation led to the arrest of Abdul, who reportedly took the operatives to Bisodun, Mokoloki, where Ayinde was subsequently apprehended.
The Corps said preliminary interrogation indicated that the two suspects confessed to stealing the motorcycle by breaking the padlock and cutting the chain used to secure it before wheeling it to Mokoloki.
The stolen motorcycle was later recovered from the residence of one Razaq Lawal, also known as Oyi, in Mokoloki, where it had reportedly been kept.
The suspects allegedly told investigators that they had been involved in similar operations for about two years. The Corps also identified another suspect, Saheed of Otunba Village, who is currently at large.
The recovered motorcycle and the two suspects have since been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force at the Ofada Divisional Police Post for further investigation and appropriate legal action.
Ganzallo commended the officers and men of the Mokoloki-Ofada Area Command for their prompt response, intelligence gathering and professionalism.
He reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to protecting lives and property and strengthening intelligence-led operations in collaboration with the police and other security agencies across Ogun State.
The State Commander also urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities and criminal incidents to security agencies.
“The safety of lives and property remains our priority. We will continue to work with other security agencies and will not relent in our efforts to make Ogun State and its environs safer for all residents,” Ganzallo said.
