Senior officials in Ogun State, including Permanent Secretaries, Principals-General, and General Managers of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), have lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for approving their participation in a one-week strategic leadership training at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Plateau State.

The programme, which is being held in collaboration with the Oba (Dr) Sikiru Kayode Adetona School of Governance Studies (OSKASOGS), Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, is designed to equip top government officials with skills necessary for efficient service delivery and policy implementation.

In an appreciation letter signed by its Chairman, Mrs. Ajimo Dada, the Body of Permanent Secretaries described the initiative as a significant step in strengthening the state’s workforce.

“Governor Abiodun’s commitment to capacity building is commendable. This training will enhance productivity and efficiency across all MDAs,” Dada stated.

Likewise, a forum of Principals-General from the four regions of the state—Remo, Ijebu, Yewa, and Egba (RIYE)—expressed their gratitude in a joint statement signed by Dr. Womiloju Ayodele Olubunmi, Babatunji Adeola Yusuf, Taoreed Ajaniade Bankole, and Babatunde Oluseye Ige.

“The governor’s investment in leadership development demonstrates his dedication to strengthening governance structures in Ogun State,” the statement read.

Also acknowledging the initiative, the Body of General Managers and Chief Executives of Parastatals and Government-Owned Institutions in Ogun State, in a statement signed by its Chairman, Commander Seni Ogunyemi, and Secretary, Mrs. Toyin Sogbesan, highlighted the training’s impact

. “This programme will refine our leadership skills, improve service delivery, and contribute to the realization of the ISEYA agenda,” the group affirmed.

The officials pledged their unwavering support for the Abiodun-led administration, emphasizing that human capital development remains a key driver of progress.

Meanwhile, the Ogun State Head of Service confirmed that the training programme will run from Sunday, April 6, to Friday, April 11, 2025.
