Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has extended his condolences to the Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, on the passing of his mother, Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Baribari, describing her as a matriarch who lived an impactful life.

Abiodun, who is also the Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, acknowledged that losing a parent is never easy but urged the bereaved family to find solace in the legacy she left behind.

“Her contributions to the family and society will remain enduring, and her positive influence will continue to be felt for generations,” he stated.

Represented by his Deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Governor Abiodun appreciated the remarkable hospitality of the people of Katsina State despite their period of mourning.

He emphasized the universal nature of grief while stressing the importance of celebrating a life well-lived.

“We pray that Almighty Allah accepts her righteous deeds, forgives her shortcomings, and grants her Al-Jannatul Firdaus. May He also bless us with long life in good health so we can leave behind positive legacies for the future,” he said.

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, Hajia Aisha Rimi, who was also part of the Ogun State delegation, offered heartfelt condolences and special prayers for the late Hajiya Safara’u.

“May Almighty Allah grant her eternal rest and comfort her family during this difficult time,” she prayed.

Responding on behalf of the Katsina State Government, Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe expressed deep gratitude for the condolence visit.

“It is a great honour to receive such a distinguished delegation from Ogun State. Governor Abiodun’s thoughtfulness in sending a high-powered team to mourn with us is truly appreciated. Your prayers and support at this sensitive time mean a lot to us,” he remarked.
