A 10-year-old Nigerian pencil sketch artist, Master Morenikeji Ebunoluwa Joshua, is set to take the spotlight with his debut solo art exhibition tagged “Emerging Visions”, scheduled for May 29–30, 2025, at the National Gallery of Art, Federal Secretariat, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.

The highly anticipated exhibition, themed “Celebrating Faces of High Impact Series 001”, will run from 10 AM to 5 PM daily and is expected to attract art lovers, educators, community leaders, and government officials from across the country.

According to a press release signed by his father, Mr. Bosun Morenikeji, the event is aimed at showcasing the young artist’s remarkable collection of pencil sketches — a visual tribute to real-life heroes, cultural identity, and inspirational figures who shape society.

“This exhibition is not just about art; it is a statement of hope, imagination, and the powerful stories children can tell when given the right platform,” a representative of the exhibition’s organizing committee said in a statement.

Despite his age, Master Joshua has continued to astonish critics and audiences alike with his exceptional eye for detail, emotional depth, and technical precision — attributes that have earned him international attention.

In recognition of his rare gift, Master Joshua has been listed among the Top 100 Child Prodigies in the World in the Art category for 2025 by the Global Child Prodigy Awards. The prestigious ceremony, powered by the Hindustan Group of Institutions, will take place on June 26, 2025, at the British Parliament in London.

Describing him as a “global inspiration,” the Global Child Prodigy Awards organizers said Joshua is “redefining what is possible when passion meets purpose at a young age.”

The public is encouraged to attend the Abeokuta exhibition to support the young artist and celebrate a story of raw talent, dedication, and creative brilliance.
