He praised all stakeholders who contributed to the advancement of the scheme in the state, including the NYSC staff. “Your commitment and cooperation have helped to place Oyo NYSC in an enviable position,” he added.

Odoba also appealed to the staff to remain united and committed, saying, “Please continue to live in peace and harmony, give your best, and avoid actions that can tarnish the image of the scheme.”

He described Ola Peters as “a perfect gentleman,” urging the staff to extend their full cooperation to the new coordinator to enable him build on existing achievements.

In his inaugural remarks, Ola Peters expressed gratitude to the Director General of NYSC, Brigadier General O. O. Nafiu, and the entire NYSC leadership for entrusting him with the responsibility. He commended his predecessor for his contributions and pledged to continue the momentum.

“I appreciate the Director General and NYSC leadership for finding me worthy of this appointment. I commend my predecessor for putting NYSC Oyo in a leading position,” he said.

He further assured the staff of an inclusive and collaborative leadership style, declaring, “Feel free to approach me. I am going to run an open-door administration.”

Ola Peters called on the staff to remain professional and united. “Let us work together with a sense of responsibility. If I succeed, it’s not about me but about the collective success of the entire Secretariat,” he emphasized.
