The Past President of the Ogun State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA) and member of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Wasiu Olaleye, has called on the current leadership of the Chamber to deepen its impact, empower members, and attract more businesses into the organisation.

Olaleye made the call on Thursday while delivering his goodwill message at the 41st Annual General Meeting of OGUNCCIMA, held at the State Secretariat, MKO Abiola Trade Fair Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

He commended the leadership of the Chamber for sustaining its programmes and ensuring the regular holding of general meetings, describing the 41st AGM as a sign of stability and accountability.

“Holding this AGM today is a reflection of consistency, accountability, and dedication to service,” Olaleye stated.

While appreciating the progress recorded by the Chamber in the past year, Olaleye stressed the need to design more impactful programmes that will empower members, especially small business owners, young entrepreneurs, and potential investors.

“We must deepen our impact through programmes that empower our members to grow, attract more businesses to OGUNCCIMA, and foster strategic partnerships,” he said.

Olaleye further advised the executives to leverage existing platforms such as the One-Stop Business Development Service Unit and the Gateway International Trade Fair to expand opportunities for members and attract investors.

“OGUNCCIMA has always played a vital role in the economic advancement of Ogun State. We must continue on that path by strengthening our platforms, building relationships with investors, and expanding the Chamber’s reach,” he added.

The AGM provided an opportunity for stakeholders to review the Chamber’s performance and chart new strategies for promoting commerce, supporting businesses, and enhancing economic development in the state.

Present at the meeting were OGUNCCIMA President, Lion Niyi Oshiyemi, 1st Deputy President, Elder Olatunji Adeniyi, 2nd Deputy President, Otunba Wasiu Taiwo, and other executives, along with representatives from the private sector and the wider business community.
