The Ogun State House of Assembly has fixed Monday, July 28, 2025, for the commencement of its mid-year budget performance review, following a slight delay caused by the just suspended industrial action by state workers.
According to a release signed by the Deputy Clerk I of the House, Barr. (Mrs.) Funmi Adeyemi, the budget appraisal exercise will begin at 10.00am prompt and will involve all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of government.
The statement noted that the mid-year assessment forms part of the legislature’s constitutional oversight duty, aimed at evaluating the level of compliance by MDAs with the 2025 Appropriation Law and ensuring judicious use of public funds in project execution.
All heads of MDAs have been directed to appear before the House as scheduled, in line with the revised timetable.
