Ogun Schools Begin Third Term Holiday August 1

The Ogun State Government has announced that all public primary and secondary schools, including government science and technical colleges, will commence their third term holiday for the 2024/2025 academic session from Friday, August 1 to Friday, September 12, 2025.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, signed by the Honourable Commissioner, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu.

According to the release, private schools across the state are expected to begin their holiday earlier, starting from Monday, July 28, 2025, in line with the approved academic calendar.

“All schools — public and private — are expected to resume for the first term of the 2025/2026 academic session on Monday, September 15, 2025,” the statement read.

The Ministry also appealed to parents and guardians to ensure the safety and proper supervision of their children and wards during the holiday period.

It further acknowledged the efforts of all education stakeholders in contributing to the delivery of quality education in the state.
