The Ogun State House of Assembly has commended the Ministry of Forestry for its improved revenue performance and sustainable resource management.
This commendation was given during the 2025 mid-year budget performance appraisal held on Tuesday by the Assembly’s Committee on Forestry, led by Hon. Folawewo Salami.
Hon. Salami, while addressing the Ministry’s management team, praised their efforts in revenue generation and urged them to consolidate on the gains recorded so far. He further charged the Ministry to implement more robust strategies to strengthen forest conservation and enhance field operations across the state.
Other lawmakers present at the session included Honourables Musefiu Lamidi, Babatunde Tella, Olakunle Sobukanla, and Yusuf Amosun. They all joined in commending the Ministry for its commitment to effective and sustainable resource management.
The lawmakers encouraged the Ministry to intensify its efforts to ensure continued growth in revenue generation while preserving the state’s forest resources for future generations.
