The Orunto Baalufe of Owu Kingdom in Abeokuta, Chief Dr Abiodun Oladimeji Lasile, has extended heartfelt birthday wishes to His Royal Majesty, Oba Prof Saka Adelola Matemilola FNSE, Otileta VII, the Olowu Oluyalo of Owu Kingdom.
In a message released on Monday, Chief Lasile described Oba Matemilola as a revered monarch whose reign continues to reflect dedication, cultural pride, and a deep sense of responsibility to the heritage of Owu land.
“May Your Majesty’s reign be long and prosperous, characterized by continued passion and dedication to the traditional functions that have been passed down through generations,” Chief Lasile said.
The Orunto Baalufe also expressed his admiration for the Olowu’s wisdom and scholarly contributions, noting that his royal leadership has brought renewed honour to the Owu throne.
He concluded the message with a traditional praise, saying, “Omo Ajibosin, Omo Olowu Oduru Ajifiepesere.”
Oba Matemilola, a professor and Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), ascended the throne as the Otileta VII and has since been celebrated for his intellectual depth, humility, and visionary leadership within the Owu Kingdom and beyond.
