The Commander of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, Dr. Soji Ganzallo, has reiterated his commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state through continuous training and stronger collaboration with other security agencies.

Dr. Ganzallo made the pledge at the close of a two-day capacity building training for Senior Officers held from Monday 11th to Tuesday 12th August 2025 at the So-Safe Corps Training Ground in Ilaro, Ogun State.

The event brought together about 600 senior officers from various divisions.

He explained that the training was designed to enhance the physical fitness, leadership skills, and intelligence gathering capacity of senior operatives, ensuring they remain fully equipped to tackle emerging security challenges.

“The safety of lives and property in Ogun State depends on our readiness, professionalism, and ability to work as a team with other security stakeholders. We will keep raising the standard,” Ganzallo said.

The programme featured lectures on Management Skills for Senior Officers and Etiquette in the Public Service, both delivered by Mr. Bakare Bolaji, Director of Admin, Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority, Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, who stressed the importance of emotional intelligence, communication, and public trust in security work.

Retired DSS officer, Mr. Saliu Olorode, also trained participants on Intelligence Gathering and Processing, highlighting the need to identify threats before they materialise and to process information into actionable plans.

Beyond lectures, officers took part in fitness drills, endurance exercises, and field simulations.

Dr. Ganzallo further announced new initiatives aimed at fostering unity and morale within the corps, including the introduction of an Inter-Zonal Football Competition.

“We will launch the Ganzallo Cup, which I will personally donate, and other sporting activities will follow,” he said.

He also revealed that the training would now hold annually, allowing officers to continually update their skills in line with modern security demands.
