The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, has officially taken over as the new spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force.

Hundeyin, who has been the image maker of the Lagos Command since March 2022, replaces Deputy Commissioner of Police, Muyiwa Adejobi, who has been redeployed to the Delta State Police Command.

The new Force PRO assumes duties at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, where he is expected to replicate his open engagement style and media accessibility that defined his time in Lagos.

Police sources said the posting forms part of routine redeployment exercises aimed at repositioning the Force for effective service delivery.

Hundeyin is a seasoned police officer with years of experience in strategic communication, having previously worked with the Police Public Relations Department at Force Headquarters and attended both local and international trainings.

Adejobi, one of the longest-serving Force PROs, was recognised for his firm communication style and consistent interface with the media on policing matters nationwide.

The appointment of Hundeyin signals a new phase in the Force’s communication drive as he takes charge of shaping public perception and strengthening trust between the police and Nigerians.
