Ogun State has secured a major partnership with a globally renowned Chinese construction company, Shandong Luqiao, for the development of advanced infrastructure across the state.
Governor Dapo Abiodun, who is currently in China for a series of investment engagements, met with the leadership of Shandong Luqiao — a flagship company under the Fortune Global 500 Shandong Hi-speed Group — to explore collaboration on large-scale infrastructure projects.
Shandong Luqiao is internationally recognized for its expertise in bridge construction, highways, and municipal engineering, as well as first-class contracting licenses in hydropower and power engineering.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, the meeting opened doors for collaboration as the company expressed strong interest in partnering with Ogun State, citing the government’s impressive strides in infrastructure development and industrial growth.
“Our discussions opened opportunities for collaboration with this globally respected construction firm, widely renowned for its expertise in bridge construction and large-scale infrastructure projects,” the statement said.
Akinmade added that the company’s commitment to partnering with the state aligns with Governor Abiodun’s vision to position Ogun as a hub for modern infrastructure and industrial advancement.
He said, “We are pleased to announce that, following our engagements, Shandong Luqiao has committed to partnering with us in Ogun State to further advance the infrastructural development of our dear state. This collaboration is yet another testament to our determination to make Ogun the hub of modern infrastructure and industrial growth.”
