Controversial Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has reportedly been arrested by Nigerian immigration officials upon his return to the country.

Bobrisky took to Instagram on Tuesday to disclose the development, stating that he was apprehended without being informed of any specific charges.

“Guys, I have just been arrested by immigration in Nigeria. I don’t know what I did o,” he wrote.

As of press time, the Nigerian Immigration Service has yet to confirm or deny the crossdresser’s claim.

Bobrisky had earlier announced his decision to leave Nigeria to focus on his well-being, citing challenges he faced in the country. His departure followed his arrest and subsequent six-month imprisonment in April last year for abusing the naira.

Following his release, activist VeryDarkMan alleged in an audio recording that Bobrisky had paid N15 million to some Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officials to have money laundering charges against him dropped. However, Bobrisky denied the claim, dismissing the audio as fake and threatening legal action against the activist.

His latest arrest adds to a series of legal troubles. On October 21, he was reportedly apprehended by immigration officers at the Seme border while attempting to leave Nigeria. He was later re-arrested on November 1.

In a recent TikTok live session, Bobrisky reaffirmed his decision to permanently relocate abroad, stating, “Nothing will bring me back to Nigeria. I am never living in Nigeria. If I need to come to Nigeria, it will be visitation because this country suit me.”
