According to her, the APC clinched all chairmanship seats in the 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and the 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) of the state.

She disclosed that the party also secured victory in 375 of the 376 councillorship positions contested in the election. The only seat not won by the APC was in Yaba LCDA, where the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) triumphed.

Reacting to the outcome, APC described the victory as a resounding endorsement of its leadership across the grassroots. “This result reflects the trust our people have in our commitment to progress and development,” a party chieftain said.

The local government elections were held on Saturday, July 12, with voter turnout reported to be relatively low in some areas. However, the process was generally peaceful.
