Justice Binta Fatima Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja has issued an order restraining all parties in the lawsuit filed by suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan against Senate President Godswill Akpabio and three others from granting press interviews regarding the ongoing case.

The ruling came on Friday after Akpabio’s legal counsel, Kehinde Ogunwumiju (SAN), informed the court that Akpoti-Uduaghan had been appearing on multiple television stations to discuss issues related to the case, which remains pending before the court.

In her ruling, Justice Nyako stated: “There shall be no press interviews by any of the parties and their legal representatives concerning the subject matter of this case.”

Furthermore, the court prohibited all parties from live-streaming or sharing any details of the proceedings on social media.

The case, which has drawn significant public attention, remains a focal point in political circles, with both sides maintaining strong positions.

More details to follow as the case progresses.
