As Muslims across the globe mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, Senator Solomon Adeola (APC, Ogun West), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, has extended his heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.
He commended them for their dedication to the spiritual obligations of fasting and prayer, describing Ramadan as a time of deep reflection, self-discipline, and renewed faith.
In his Eid-el-Fitr message to his constituents and Nigerians at large, Senator Adeola expressed optimism that Almighty Allah would grant the supplications made during the sacred month.
He emphasized the importance of carrying forward the virtues of Ramadan, including self-denial, compassion, justice, and peaceful coexistence.
“I congratulate all our Muslim brothers and sisters on the successful completion of Ramadan. May Almighty Allah accept your prayers, sacrifices, and acts of worship. It is my sincere hope that the lessons learned will continue to shape our interactions and guide us in fostering peace and unity,” he stated.
Senator Adeola further urged Muslims to continue praying for the nation, particularly against the challenges of insecurity, and for wisdom for leaders in addressing national concerns.
He reiterated the need for collective efforts in overcoming societal issues, highlighting that Islam is a religion of peace, kindness, and love.
“As we celebrate, let us renew our hope in the progress of our nation under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Let us also seek divine guidance for our leaders, especially Mr. President, in navigating the country through its current challenges. Our prayers and devotion during Ramadan will not be in vain,” he added.
The senator called on Muslims to remain steadfast in the values of tolerance and harmonious coexistence, stressing that these principles should be a way of life beyond Ramadan.
He urged Nigerians to support ongoing government efforts aimed at addressing the nation’s pressing challenges.
“As a people, we must continue in the righteous path of love, unity, and justice, fostering an environment where peace thrives. It is only through this that we can achieve true progress and development as a nation,” Senator Adeola concluded.
