Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and leaders of the All Progressives Congress following his emergence as the party’s candidate for the Ogun East Senatorial District election.
The governor disclosed this after formally presenting the official results of the APC primary election for Ogun East Senatorial District to the President.
Abiodun thanked Almighty God, President Tinubu, party leaders, stakeholders, and the people of Ogun East for the confidence reposed in him throughout the primary election process.
He commended Tinubu for what he described as inclusive democratic policies within the party, particularly the adoption of direct primaries, which he said had allowed APC members to freely exercise their franchise.
According to him, the successful conduct of the primary election reflected the unity, maturity, strength, and democratic spirit within the APC in Ogun State.
The governor reiterated his commitment to serving the people, noting that his aspiration to represent Ogun East in the Senate was aimed at advancing development, peace, inclusiveness, and economic prosperity in Ogun State and the country at large.
Abiodun also appreciated party members, supporters, and stakeholders for their encouragement and commitment to the collective vision of building a greater Ogun State.
