Senator Solomon Adeola (APC, Ogun West), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, has congratulated Muslims across Nigeria on the celebration of Mawlid Nabbiy, the birth of Prophet Mohammed (Peace be Upon Him).
The message was contained in a statement signed by his Media Adviser, Chief Kayode Odunaro, on Friday, September 5, 2025.
Adeola described the birth of the Prophet as “a watershed in the history of the world” noting that Prophet Mohammed established not only a religion but also “a complete set of upright, moral and ethical way of living that guides many to live positively.”
He urged Nigerians, particularly Muslims, to emulate the virtues of the Prophet, stressing the importance of tolerance, compassion, humility, and righteous living.
“Let us imbibe the virtues exhibited by Prophet Mohammed in the area of love, tolerance, compassion, humility and righteous living. His lifestyle is a worthy model for adherents of Islamic faith and others toward a purposeful and rewarding living,” Adeola stated.
The lawmaker also called for sustained prayers for peace and economic progress in the country, commending the policy direction of President Tinubu’s administration.
According to him, “The Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stabilized the economy for future growth. Our collective prayers and cooperation are necessary to sustain peace and strengthen this progress.”
