The Ogun State House of Assembly has commenced the screening process for nominees into key statutory commissions following a request from Governor Dapo Abiodun.

The Governor’s correspondence, seeking legislative approval for the appointments, was formally acknowledged during plenary.

Reading the letter before lawmakers, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, listed the nominees for various commissions.

For the Local Government Service Commission, Olubukunola Olivia Onabanjo was nominated as Chairman, while Hon. Lukman Olufemi Adiro, Martins Adekoyejo Ijaduoye, Olatunde Azeez Abiodun Osunbiyi, and Olatunde Rasaki Rufai were listed as members.

In the State Teaching Service Commission, Apostle Abiodun Sanyaolu was named as Chairman, with Olanrewaju Majekodunmi, Deola Akintonde, Hon. Adeleke Salmon (Sonto), Hon. (Mrs.) Atinuke Bello, and Hon. Kemi Oduwole as members.

The State House of Assembly Service Commission had Rt. Hon. Suraj Ishola Adekunbi as Chairman, while Samuel Ibidapo Odukoya, Alhaji Fasiu Ajadi, and Hon. Folakemi J. Akintayo were nominated as members.

Similarly, for the State Judicial Service Commission, Hon. Justice M. A. Dipeolu was nominated as Chairman, with Hon. Justice Femi-Segun A. Olusola, Adeyemi Ademuyiwa, Dr. Saheed Oyede, and Adesola Ayoola-Elegbeji as members.

The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Elemide, directed all nominees to submit their detailed curriculum vitae and other relevant credentials to the Office of the Clerk/Head of Legislative Service at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

The submission deadline was set for the close of work on Thursday, 27th March 2025.

“The screening process will be thorough, ensuring only qualified individuals take up these critical roles,” Elemide assured.
