Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele, has assured residents of Aiyetoro-Budo that the state government will look into the deplorable condition of roads leading to the community.

She gave this assurance during the 2025 Annual Aiyetoro-Budo Day celebration and N250 million fundraising event for a modern community hall and center held in the town under Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area.

According to the Deputy Governor, the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun remains committed to spreading development across every part of the state, including Aiyetoro-Budo. She described the government as a listening one and said efforts would be made to ensure the town gets the needed attention.

Salako-Oyedele also used the occasion to extol the virtues of the Onibudo of Aiyetoro-Budo, Oba (Dr) Adewunmi Adeniji Odutala, whom she described as a monarch with clarity of vision, deep commitment, and a strong passion for uniting his people and preserving their cultural identity.

“Since his ascension, Kabiesi has led from the front. He has promoted unity and development and has written his name in the history of this community,” she said.

Also speaking at the event, the member representing Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency, Hon. Tunji Akinosi, congratulated the Onibudo and prayed for continued wisdom and strength for the monarch to lead his people.

In his remarks, the Ogun State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Sesan Fagbayi, noted that the Aiyetoro-Budo Day celebration would boost unity and cultural preservation.

He restated the state government’s readiness to support and promote tourism and cultural heritage in Ogun.

Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Lawal, also joined others in commending the monarch and appealed to all sons and daughters of the town to contribute to its development and avoid actions that could disrupt peace.

The Onibudo of Aiyetoro-Budo, Oba Adewunmi Odutala, while thanking dignitaries, appealed for government intervention in the area of infrastructure, particularly the roads across the 17 communities within the kingdom, which he said were in poor condition.

Earlier in his welcome address, Chairman of the Planning Committee and the Sobaloju of Aiyetoro-Budo, Chief Tunji Aribisala, said the event was organized to celebrate the town’s rich cultural heritage and strengthen unity among indigenes.

He encouraged everyone to remain united and committed to the progress and future development of Aiyetoro-Budo.
