The Ogun Muslim Community Society has taken its Ramadan Tafsir to Simawa, emphasizing the need for peace, unity, and continued acts of kindness among Nigerians.

The gathering, which brought together Muslim faithful from Simawa, Ologbun, Ogijo, Agbowa, and Likosi, featured a special Ramadan prayer session in honor of President Bola Tinubu’s 73rd birthday.

The event was convened by Mr. Babatunde Osho on behalf of Yayi Progressive Friends and was attended by over 2,000 worshippers.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Imam of Simawa/Ologbun Ogijo and its environs, Alhaji Abdul Mojeed Jamiu, commended Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi for his contributions to the Muslim community, particularly in providing Ramadan palliatives to ease the burden on fasting Muslims.

“Senator Adeola has shown unwavering commitment to supporting the Muslim Ummah, and we urge others to emulate his generosity,” the cleric stated.

He further emphasized the importance of sustaining the spirit of Ramadan beyond the fasting period, urging attendees to remain steadfast in their faith and charitable deeds.

“Ramadan teaches us sacrifice, compassion, and love. These virtues should not end with the holy month but should reflect in our daily lives,” he added.

Representing Senator Adeola at the gathering, Hon. Bolaji Oyeleye expressed gratitude to the Muslim clerics and worshippers for their prayers and commitment to peace.

“The Senator remains devoted to uplifting communities and fostering unity. Let us all continue to promote the values of kindness, generosity, and brotherhood,” he said.

The event also featured reflections on Ramadan’s lessons, with speakers reinforcing the need for continued spiritual growth and societal harmony.
