Renowned artist HK Locks recently showcased his exceptional artistic talent at the historic Olowu Palace in Oke Ago Owu, Abeokuta, where he created a breathtaking live portrait of HRM Oba Prof. Saka Adelola Matemilola FNSE, Otileta VII, the Olowu Oluyalo of Owu Kingdom.

The stunning artwork, completed within a cumulative 70 minutes, was a remarkable fusion of artistry and tradition, captivating the audience with its precision and depth.

The live painting session, which engaged both creativity and cultural significance, was hailed as a unique experience that brought art and royalty together.

Reacting to the masterpiece, Oba Matemilola commended HK Locks for his extraordinary skill and dedication, acknowledging the power of art in cultural preservation.

“This is a brilliant piece of work, a true reflection of creativity and dedication. I appreciate the effort and talent that went into capturing my likeness in such a short time”.

“Art remains a powerful tool for storytelling, and I am pleased to witness this firsthand,” the Olowu remarked.

Following the royal commendation, Abiodun Lasile Orunto Baalufe of Owu Kingdom, also lauded the artistic excellence displayed, highlighting the role of creativity in inspiring and empowering young minds.

“Creative minds thrill me because I admire their passion, dedication, and ability to bring new ideas to life. Be a creative element!” he stated.

Lasile further emphasized the significance of such engagements in nurturing talent among the youth.

“This is an engagement of time for our youths who are currently looking for ways to excel and make an impact,” he added.
