Royal FM has officially launched its newest station, Royal FM 90.7, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, marking another major stride in the media group’s ambitious expansion across Nigeria.
Located at the 7th floor of the OPIC Tower in Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta, the station branded as “Radio on the Rock” aims to serve listeners with a rich blend of news, music, engaging talk shows, and content specially tailored to the cultural heartbeat of the city.
Speaking during the launch, a representative of Royal Media Group stated, “This station is more than just another frequency; it’s a commitment to the people of Abeokuta. We are here to amplify their voices, share their stories, and be part of the community fabric.”
Headquartered in Ilorin, Kwara State, Royal FM already operates stations in Kaduna, Akure, and Asaba, in addition to Royal TV.
The Abeokuta station is part of the group’s ongoing effort to enhance radio accessibility and local relevance across the country.
“With this addition, we are extending our promise of ‘good radio anywhere, anytime,’” the station’s spokesperson added.
“Listeners in Abeokuta and surrounding areas can now enjoy a fresh wave of quality broadcasting that resonates with their everyday life.”
Residents of Abeokuta welcomed the development, seeing it as a positive move for media diversity and local expression.
“It’s exciting to have another strong voice on air, especially one that’s committed to community-focused content,” a radio listener said.
The launch of Royal FM 90.7 is expected to not only enrich the media landscape in Ogun State but also promote civic engagement, youth empowerment, and cultural awareness through its inclusive programming.
