Katsina Governor’s Mother Passes On, Abiodun Leads Condolence Delegation
The Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum (SGF) and Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has conveyed heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, over the passing of his mother, Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Baribari.
Representing Governor Abiodun and the SGF, Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, led the delegation to extend sympathies, emphasizing the significance of honoring a life well-lived.
“There is never a perfect time to lose a parent, but the greatest consolation lies in the impactful legacy left behind. Hajiya Safara’u’s contributions to her family and society will endure,” Governor Abiodun noted.
Offering prayers for the deceased, he added, “May Almighty Allah accept her righteous deeds, forgive her shortcomings, and grant her Al-Jannatul Firdaus. We also pray for long life and good health, enabling us to leave behind positive legacies for future generations.”
In her remarks, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, Hajia Aisha Rimi, who was part of the Ogun State delegation, extended additional prayers for the late Hajiya Safara’u, expressing her condolences to Governor Radda and his family.
Responding on behalf of the Katsina State Government, Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe appreciated the delegation’s visit and Governor Abiodun’s leadership.
“It is indeed an honour to receive this high-powered delegation from Ogun State. We deeply appreciate the commitment shown by His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, in sending such a distinguished team to commiserate with us,” he said.
Jobe further expressed gratitude for the prayers and solidarity extended by the people of Ogun State, noting that the support was a source of great comfort during this difficult time.
