The United Premier Movement, UPM, Abeokuta South Local Government, has congratulated Chief Henry Adetunji Fagbenro, popularly known as Agbomola, on his reelection as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abeokuta South Local Government.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed by Hon. Chief Olalekan Alex Shoyinka, Ayinla Egba, for and on behalf of the Executives and members of UPM, Abeokuta South Local Government.
The group described Fagbenro’s renewed mandate as a clear affirmation of the confidence and trust reposed in his leadership by party stakeholders and members across the local government. It noted that his return to office reflected the broad support he enjoys within the party structure.
According to the statement, Chief Fagbenro’s steadfast commitment to party unity, grassroots mobilisation and organisational stability has significantly strengthened the APC in Abeokuta South.
UPM stated that his leadership has helped to consolidate the party’s structure and positioned it for continued political growth and success.
The movement commended what it called his resilience, administrative capacity and inclusive leadership style, saying these qualities have fostered cohesion among members and sustained the progressive ideals of the party at the grassroots level.
UPM also extended its congratulations to members of the newly elected Executive Committee, describing their emergence as both a responsibility and an opportunity at a crucial time in the party’s development.
The group urged them to work collaboratively, promote unity of purpose and pursue strategic innovations that will consolidate existing achievements and deepen democratic engagement within Abeokuta South.
“As stakeholders in the political development of our dear party and local government, we reaffirm our commitment to constructive engagement and cooperation in the overall interest of peace, stability and sustainable development of our people,” the statement read.
The group further wished Chief Fagbenro and his Executive Committee a successful, impactful and result oriented tenure, expressing confidence that their leadership will strengthen the APC and advance the collective interest of members and residents of Abeokuta South Local Government.
