Veteran Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has reportedly been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, with his family appealing for assistance towards exploring treatment options.

The development was disclosed by the actor’s daughter in a video shared on social media, where she spoke about her father’s condition and appealed to individuals who could assist the family with alternative treatment.

According to her, the family is not seeking financial donations for the actor’s treatment, noting that Senator Adeola Solomon Yayi has been providing financial assistance and supporting the payment of his medical bills.

She, however, appealed to individuals with knowledge or access to alternative treatment options, particularly traditional medicine, to come forward and assist the family.

The daughter said the appeal became necessary as the actor’s health condition had become critical, urging well-meaning Nigerians to support the family in exploring available treatment options.

Ogogo, a prominent figure in the Nigerian film industry, has enjoyed a long career in Yoruba-language cinema and is widely recognised for his contributions to Nollywood.

The family’s appeal has continued to attract concern and reactions from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry.

However, details concerning the actor’s specific medical condition and treatment remain limited, while the claims regarding his diagnosis were made by his daughter in the video.
