The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, has declared that anyone voting for a party other than the APC in Saturday’s Remo Federal Constituency by-election will be wasting their vote.

Speaking at the Gateway International Airport, Ogun State, on Thursday while departing for Abuja after attending the grand finale of the party’s campaign in Sagamu, Yilwatda described Ogun as a stronghold of the APC and expressed confidence in a landslide victory for the party’s candidate, Hon. Adesola Elegbeji.

“I am not trying to look down on any political party, but I don’t think there is any other political party aside from the APC; we have only one party. Anyone who votes for any other party aside from the APC is wasting their vote. I look forward to winning massively in Ogun State. It is our terrain, it is our state, it is our environment,” he said.

The APC Chairman also described the Gateway International Airport as a game changer capable of creating a new economy by opening Ogun to the world, noting that it represents the progressive transformation the party is known for.

He urged residents to align with President Bola Tinubu’s vision by voting for the APC candidate, adding, “She is that voice, she is that person, she is that woman that we await in the National Assembly.”

Governor Dapo Abiodun assured voters of adequate security for a peaceful, transparent, and successful election, warning against any form of electoral violence. “If you are not planning to vote peacefully, stay at home and stay away from the ballot boxes because we will deal with you decisively,” he warned.

Other APC leaders, including Hon. Abdukabir Adekunle Akinlade and ALGON State Chair Hon. Adeyemo Folashade, also called on the people of Remoland to turn out in large numbers for the ruling party’s candidate on Saturday.
