The Ogun State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, OGUNCCIMA, has congratulated the Government and people of Ogun State as the state marks its 50th anniversary, describing the milestone as a proud testament to steady growth, resilience, and industrial advancement.
In a press release issued to commemorate the Golden Jubilee, the President of OGUNCCIMA, Lion Niyi Oshiyemi, said the last five decades reflect a story of purposeful leadership, enterprise, and the determination of the people to build a prosperous state.
According to him, Ogun State has evolved into one of Nigeria’s foremost industrial and commercial centres, driven by strategic location, improving infrastructure, and policies that continue to attract investors across manufacturing, agriculture, mining, and services.
“Ogun State at 50 represents a journey of vision and progress. From its early foundations to its present status as a leading industrial destination, the state has demonstrated capacity for growth and a clear commitment to economic development,” Oshiyemi said.
He commended successive administrations for initiatives that have strengthened the ease of doing business, expanded industrial clusters, and created opportunities for small and medium scale enterprises to thrive.
He also acknowledged the vital role played by the private sector, traders, manufacturers, and professionals in sustaining the state’s economic momentum.
The OGUNCCIMA President reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to supporting policies and programmes that promote investment, job creation, and inclusive economic growth, noting that strong collaboration between government and the private sector remains key to achieving long-term development.
“As Ogun State enters its next phase, OGUNCCIMA looks forward to deeper engagement that will further unlock the state’s economic potential, enhance competitiveness, and improve the quality of life of its people,” he added.
The Chamber urged residents to use the Golden Jubilee as a moment for reflection and renewed dedication to unity, productivity, and shared responsibility in building a stronger Ogun State.
OGUNCCIMA wished Ogun State continued peace, stability, and accelerated development in the years ahead.
