Several people were feared trapped on Thursday after a three-storey building collapsed in the Alakija area of Lagos State.
The incident, which occurred around 11:40 a.m., threw residents and business owners in the area into panic as the structure suddenly caved in, leaving parts of the building buried under rubble.
Witnesses said the exact number of persons trapped could not be immediately confirmed as of the time of filing this report.
Residents and sympathisers were seen gathering around the scene, anxiously awaiting the arrival of emergency responders and rescue personnel.
