Twenty prospective members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) abducted along the Owerri-Onitsha Road in Imo State have regained their freedom.
The victims, who were travelling along the busy highway, were abducted alongside another person, raising concerns over their safety and whereabouts.
Following their release, the victims were taken to the Department of State Services (DSS) Hospital in Owerri, where they are currently receiving medical attention.
The circumstances surrounding their release were not immediately clear as of the time of filing this report.
It was also unclear whether security agencies had arrested any suspects in connection with the abduction.
