The Ogun State Executive Council has approved the appointment of Prince Shehu Quadri Taiwo as the new Alaperu of Iperu in Ikenne Local Government Area and Prince Akeem Akinyemi as the new Awujako of Ijako-Orile in Yewa North Local Government Area of the state.
The appointments were approved at the council’s meeting held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, with both monarchs expected to assume their new positions with immediate effect.
The approval marks a new chapter for the two communities as they prepare to welcome their newly appointed traditional rulers.
Prince Taiwo’s appointment as Alaperu of Iperu and Prince Akinyemi’s emergence as Awujako of Ijako-Orile took effect on Thursday, October 15, 2026.
